By Gerry Mulvaney, European Sales Manager, Landa Digital Printing
It’s finally here! Drupa 2016 has opened its doors under leaden German skies and… the Landa presses are rolling. The first impressions are coming off the presses and the first impressions of the visitors are excitement and amazement at what Landa has achieved in the past four years since we were here last.
Of course, for the many Landa customers who have been working closely with our technical team, offering help, guidance and vast industry experience there were no great surprises. But for the public at large, the transition of Nanography® from a technology concept to a real, ready to use product was a lot to take in – as people’s faces showed. The reaction from our visitors on day one on seeing the printed results was wonderful to behold.
Offset quality, at 13,000 B1 sheets per hour and every sheet different is not something that is easy for an offset printer to take in, but Benny Landa’s spectacular theatre show explains how he has grown the Nanography process from a seed of an idea to a mature product.
The fact that visitors are now taking away printed samples is another indicator of the confidence that Benny and all the technical team have in the durability of the product. And if you are at the show and not got yours, drop by the stand in Hall 9 and collect them.
To top it all, there is big news about beta sites in Europe and the USA and some announcements about huge orders for the Landa Nanographic Printing® Presses from household names. More information in my next blog.
