The Landa drupa or just highjacking the show?

Briefing Team Landa at 9:15 am, Benny promised everyone that drupa 2012 would be an experience of a lifetime. Months and years of work—and sleep deprivation—were all for the moment at hand: day 1 of drupa 2012.

By the time the briefing was over at 10:02 am, Stand A73 of Hall 9 was packed with people looking, looking to buy, and looking to distribute Nanographic Printing presses. They came from North America, South America, Europe and Asia.

Landa’s secrecy, flurry of strategic announcements, and PRINTWEEK’s cover story and three-page interview only heightened the anticipation of the attendees.

Finally, it was time. Time to see Nanographic Printing presses. Time to print digital fast—really fast. Time to print with digital versatility and offset qualities. And it was time to see a press that could be managed by a “giant iPhone”.

Every presentation of  “Nano. Bigger than you think.” played to a full house in true Landa fashion, combining technical explanations with business rationale—in Benny’s entertaining style.

No one who came to see the show left disappointed. The show is already proving to be the highlight of drupa 2012, with bootleg videos and numerous photos posted to the Internet.

One PRINTWEEK blog wrote “Drupa 2012 – the Landa Drupa?” while PRINT21 wrote “Drupa  day one – Landa highjacks the show with the launch of nanography.” However you describe it, Day 1 was a resounding success and a day that everyone will remember.

Show times are at 10.30, 12.00, 13.30, 15.00 and 16.30. Arrive 20-30 minutes before the show to register and print your ticket.
