Engineered for the packaging and converting industries, the single-sided B1 (41 in. / 1,050 mm) format Landa S10 Nanographic Printing® Press enables just-in-time mainstream efficiency for the production of folding carton and POP/POS applications. With a higher throughput than any other digital sheetfed press in the industry, the Landa S10 prints an unbeatable 6,500 large format (B1 / 41 in.) sheets per hour on off-the-shelf substrates in thickness from 2.4-32 pt. (60-800μm). With a crossover point of around 30,000 boxes and even higher when ganging jobs or adding variable barcodes, the Landa S10 provides a digital solution for more than 50% of all packaging jobs.

  • Generates up to five times the throughput of other digital printing presses
  • Offers plate-free digital printing for folding carton, boxes, and more
  • Supports coated and uncoated off-the-shelf substrates
  • Delivers high-speed and scalable printing from single copies to versioned jobs
  • Streamlines operations in any workflow environment

The Landa Nanography® process offers unprecedented dot sharpness and color uniformity compared to inkjet or offset lithography technologies.

The Landa S10 Nanographic Printing® Press delivers true mainstream packaging production using large format and off-the-shelf substrates – without any pretreatment or priming. With throughput that reaches up to five times that of digital presses, it frees up your offset equipment to do what it does best – long-run production.

Integrating seamlessly into your existing operation, the Landa S10 press works side by side with your offset/analog equipment – no special clean room environment is required.

The Landa Nanographic Printing® Process offers lithographic quality printing with the efficiency and versatility of plate-free digital printing. High-resolution ink ejectors deliver 1,200 dpi resolution and deliver high coverage, multiple gray levels, and exceptional color definition. Images appear vivid, sharp, and uniform – similar to anything produced by an offset press. The Landa S10 press features an inline coating unit to enhance printed output using flood or selective coating of aqueous or UV materials.

All Landa Nanographic Printing® Presses are equipped with Landa’s Active Quality Management (AQM) that maximizes the quality of every print. Developed by Landa with AVT, Techkon and EFI, Landa Active Quality Management is a fully automatic solution that scans each printed sheet, identifies defects (e.g., color consistency, print uniformity, registration, missing nozzles, etc.) and initiates corrective action where applicable – all without any operator intervention.

Using the extremely small Landa NanoInk® pigments, the light dynamic range achieved by the Nanographic Printing process is wider than any other process and covers more Pantone® colors than offset printing.

The press is equipped with a spectrophotometer for maintaining color consistency and print uniformity. An inspection system automatically verifies registration, checks nozzle conditions, detects artifacts and validates barcodes and QR codes.

The Landa S10 press offers a Twenty‐First Century, intuitive feel that requires minimal training for offset operators. Applying the principles of ergonomics, the unique Landa Operator Cockpit offers at-a-glance access to all functions and allows the operator to quickly view the press status, monitor the delivery, inspect output, and view real-time video feeds of printing inside the press.

In addition, a tablet device lets the operator monitor vital signs and assists with maintenance or troubleshooting while away from the cockpit. An automatic paper handling system eliminates many of the labor-intensive tasks common to traditional media setup.

A fully automated paper adjustment system enables fast changeovers to new substrates and long runs without stopping, further maximizing uptime. An auxiliary delivery tray lets operators automatically collect and inspect proofs without affecting the integrity of the output.

By significantly reducing operating costs compared to other digital printing solutions, the Landa S10 Nanographic Printing® Press offers the lowest Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Like analog solutions based on lithography or gravure, the Landa S10 press supports off-the-shelf paper and folding carton substrates, coated and uncoated – without any pretreatment or priming.

This innovative press creates high coverage images with a four-color process system (CMYK), using low cost, water-based inks. The process system can be extended to a seven-color system, practically eliminating the need for spot colors, the time spent on creating and mixing colors and the on-press color switching. The Nanographic Printing® process also yields minimal waste, eliminating the need for plates or make-ready.
